Since 1914, Bethesda Mission has been a missionary arm of the local church, reaching out to men, women, and children of all races, nationalities and creeds, providing the poor and homeless with shelter, food, clothing, sharing the good news of Jesus Christ and discipling them in the Christian life.

Special Ministries

The Mobile Mission has operated since January of 1992. The Mobile Mission unit is staffed by volunteers who provide Samaritan service and the Gospel to individuals living on the streets who can not or will not take advantage of the services offered in shelters. Some of the services offered are: the provision of blankets, sleeping bags, warm clothing, food, emergency transportation, and evangelical witness. The Mobile Mission makes its rounds every Saturday and Sunday evening between 9:00 PM and 12:00 AM.

In addition to Bethesda's on-staff, part-time nurse, the Medical Clinic offers Mission guests the opportunity to receive medical attention provided by volunteer medical professionals one evening a week on Mission premises. Services are also provided to the poor in the community the fourth Tuesday of every month.
